We are excited to feature programming from some of our local small businesses. They provide excellent experiences for youth in the region and we are grateful to be able to include them in our summer and vacation offerings!

Join us for a theater arts discovery week over February Vacation Week.
Students ages 6-9 will learn a musical theater song and perform a dance for families at the end of the week. Prop making, improv, scenery, and much more!
February 16-20th, 9am-12:30pm
Program fee: $250, $50 deposit required to hold your spot.

Summer Safari Children’s Camp
(Ages 6-9) July 14-18, 9-12:30PM
Join us for a summer safari with a theme week packed full of adventures. No passport required, just an interest in learning about incredible species around the globe and right here at home! A variety of dance styles & imaginative art projects will be woven into our theme week. No prior dance experience required.
Empowered Presence (Ages 10-12) July 28-Aug 1, 11-3PM: Technique and Wellness Week for Pre-Teens
In its third year, the Empowered Presence half day camp for pre-teen dancers provides a brand-new approach to learning movement. Introduction to body-mind awareness, our proprioceptive abilities, and imaginative impulse, we will connect to our bodies’ inherent intelligence and learn to listen to its wisdom. Dancers will have two daily technique classes in various styles that focus on empowered response: the art of choosing our next action, consciously rather than reacting. Focusing on how sound, words, music, and story influence our state, we will learn how to interpret cues and sensations in the body that communicate our needs. Special Guests will be with us during the week to teach us how to incorporate self-care and wellness practices into our daily lives.
NEW! Wicked STEAMM Adventures with Ascendance & The Community Classroom (ages 6-9) August 4-8th, 9-12:30PM
Elphaba and Glinda Fans Unite! Join us for an unforgettable August week of Wicked Adventures. This dynamic camp blends Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, AND MOVEMENT! Inspired by the film’s enchanting themes, campers will dive into hands-on projects, innovative challenges, and energetic choreography to spark their imaginations and build new skills. We’ll explore the musical’s theme of friendship & community culminating in an informal showing of work for families at the end of the week. *Register January 12th through The Community Classroom www.thecommunityclassroom.com
Mix It Up Children’s Camp Session One: (Ages 6-9) August 11-15
Mix It Up Children’s Camp Session Two:(Ages 6-9) August 18-22
This is the perfect camp for the child who wants to dip their toes in a little of everything! Our fun filled “Mix It Up” week is all about exploration, whether it be through movement, music, or art. Master teachers will introduce campers to different styles of dance including Acro, Jazz Fusion, Hip Hop, Rhythm Stomp, and Contemporary. No prior dance experience required. Two sessions to choose from.
