Dance in the Park
Get Outside and MOVE!
NOTE: The sun is setting earlier, and we have adjusted our October schedule to keep classes outdoors as long as possible. Be sure you check the new schedule linked below!
It’s not safe indoors, and we’re on screens all day – we need to get outside and DANCE!
The folks at Childs Park have been generous enough to help us to move our schedule outside while the weather holds. Classes are held in the meadow across from Cooley Dickinson Hospital, and there is plenty of parking along Elm Street.
Come join us in the fresh air!
We’ll host classes outdoors weather permitting and as long as we have the light and temperature warm enough for our families. Watch for a schedule change to account for the evening darkness starting earlier and earlier.
What will we do when the snow and cold comes?
Unfortunately we can’t hold our entire fall season outdoors – not in New England!
We are working on the structures and technology needed to host hybrid indoor/online classes. For those families able and comfortable to, you can join us in our covid-defended studio spaces or you can dance with us from home via online video platform.
We have already upgraded our sound and video systems to make the online experience more friendly for the living room student, and by the time we have to move indoors we should have things arranged to host both in person classes and accommodate online dancers in the same session.
We are so grateful for the community of families and dancers that continue to dance with us through these difficult times and feel the support of the families that have us in their hearts but aren’t able to join us in class. We sincerely hope that these changes – though they are unwelcome and unfortunate – help provide healthy movement and artistic opportunities to young people who have already had their routines and activities curtailed so much. We just have to keep adapting, so stay tuned as we all roll with the punches and keep the beat doing it!
